Trust-Based Relational Intervention: Introduction and Overview to TBRI - 11/06/23 & 11/09/23 - Webinar

November 6, 2023 to November 9, 2023

Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) is an attachment-based approach to parenting that is designed to meet the complex needs of children. TBRI uses the Empowering Principles to address physical needs, Connecting Principles for attachment needs, and Correcting Principles to disarm fear-based behaviors.

Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) Caregiver Training: Introduction and Overview is designed to give participants exposure to all parts of TBRI® by highlighting the ways in which each section of the intervention strategy fits into the holistic nature of TBRI®.

Following the training, participants will be able to:

  1. To lay the foundation for deep insight about the impact of a child’s history on their long- term development.
  2. To create a framework for practical intervention and application.
  3. To enhance understanding about how to interpret behavior and respond appropriately.

Renee Siers - siersr@uw.edu

Reneé’s journey in Child Welfare began many years ago when she and her husband Tom became foster parents. Over the years she and her husband have adopted four children, which have given them many opportunities to work with the Child Welfare system. Reneé gained a passion for working with families while being a co-trainer for the Resource Family Training Institute. She went back to school and obtained a Master's in Social Work at Eastern Washington University. While working on her Master’s degree she studied attachment and the affects of trauma on children and adults.

Reneé has a desire to help Care Providers gain the tools they need to effectively parent the children who come into their homes. She believes a sense of humor can go a long way when dealing with difficult behaviors.
