Topic Support Group: TBRI Connected Therapist Book Club, Relating Through the Senses - 11/06/23 - 11/20/23 - Webinar

November 6, 2023 to November 20, 2023

The Alliance CaRES team invites you to join us for Book Club!

We will be diving into "The Connected Therapist, Relating Through the Senses”, by Marti Smith.   This book is based on Dr. Bruce Perry's work and Trust Based Relation Intervention (TBRI) and is a next-level skills building opportunity for caregivers.

During our three weeks together, our discussion will explore the senses in relation to how adverse experiences shape individual's preferences and sensory processing abilities. The final section reveals resources and practical strategies to help select best practice sensory-based strategies to promote healing through activity for the children in your care.

Please have access to a copy of the book. You can find "The Connected Therapist, Relating Through the Senses" at your local library, on Amazon or at local retailers.  The book is also on Audible.

Please read Chapters 6 and 7 which we will be discussing the 1st night.    Please join us even if you haven’t had the opportunity to read the chapters.

6 hours of training credit will be awarded to those who complete all 3 sessions of the book club.
