Holly Bond - hollyb7@uw.edu

Holly Bond is a development and facilitation specialist with the Alliance.  In this role she serves caregivers through developing and facilitating curriculum that enables them to build and enhance the skills they need to support children affected by trauma.

Holly joined the Alliance after many years of supporting caregivers as a licensor in the Tacoma area.  Prior to that, she worked directly with youth who had experienced significant trauma and loss.  Before entering the child welfare field, Holly worked as an advocate for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.  Her early career began in the HIV prevention and education field.

Holly received her Master of Science (MS) in training and development from the University of Louisville.  This program provided additional structure and foundation for her mission of mentoring and training adults.

In recent years, Holly has focused on trauma-informed somatic and mindful practices, completing 500+ hours of training in Mindfulness-Based Yoga, earning a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-500) credential, alongside achieving Qualified Teacher (QT) status of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), an evidenced-based curriculum, through the University of California at San Diego’s Mindfulness-Based Professional Training Institute.

In all things, Holly is motivated by helping people connect more deeply to their self and others.  She enjoys seeing the process of learning unfold in unique ways that respect and honor each person, all communities, and the world as a whole.

Holly spends her leisure time reading, writing, dancing, and learning archery as a mindful practice.
