Indian Child Welfare (legacy)

Learn the historical, legal and socio/economic basis for Indian Child Welfare law and policy. Learn how these laws and policies may affect case planning and permanency for Native children who are placed in your home. Participate in an open dialogue about the enriching experiences and the challenges for you as a caregiver to Native children. And learn how to best care for the Native child in your home including supporting the child’s cultural enrichment and enhancing the child’s ties to their Tribal community.
