Apple Health Trauma 101 (legacy)

In Coordinated Care's Trauma 101 Training, participants will gain a better understanding of what trauma is and how it impacts children in the child welfare system. The training first explores the defining characteristics of a trauma and delves into the six types of trauma. It examines children's possible responses to trauma and the factors that influence how they respond to a traumatic event. Additional topics discussed in this training include trauma's impact on brain development, traumatic play, and the specific symptom clusters of PTSD and concludes with a discussion on resiliency. Caregivers will walk away with a better understanding of trauma and increased feelings of confidence in caring for children that have experienced extensive trauma.
