TBRI is an attachment-based approach to parenting that is designed to meet the complex needs of children. TBRI uses the Empowering Principles to address physical needs, Connecting Principles for attachment needs, and Correcting Principles to disarm fear-based behaviors. This training module is designed to give participants insight into the roots of self-regulation difficulties common among “children from hard places.” This module aims to give participants practical tools to facilitate learning and practicing self-regulation skills. This training is the second of a three part series.

The RIGHT RESPONSE Workshop is primarily prevention training. The Advanced Level 4 training is a full 14-hour certification which provides the skills of Prevention, De-escalation, Postvention and Physical Interventions, including Escorts and Therapeutic Holds. Attendees learn to use physical intervention as the last resort to maintaining safety and learn more proactive alternatives which can prevent dangerous incidents and increase safety.Attendees that complete the workshop receive a 1 year certification and recertification training will be offered annually.

This five-hour classroom CPR and First Aid course teaches solutions to a range of problems that can arise from minor everyday instances to major medical emergencies such as allergic reactions, heart attacks, and strokes. Classroom instruction includes discussion on CPR, AED usage, bloodborne pathogens, and first aid. In addition, the course will provide a hands-on skill assessment. CPR and First Aid for Caregivers follows the latest American Heart Association guidelines. Certification is valid for two years.
